Goal: The objective of this project was to develop an understanding of culture, image, interaction and symbolic representation. Based on in class discussion, lectures and examples shown in a Communications Design Course offered at OCAD University, the goal was to create a meaningful, multilayered communication in the form of a poster. It was required to use elements of design such as shape, scale, color, direction, texture and symbolism. The concept was to create a 1950’s retro style poster of the Tour of the Solar System or a specific planet.
